Hat Yai 2022 - Day 5: Back to Singapore

Aloha folks! It’s our last day in Hat Yai which means this adventure is coming to an end. Final day posts are always such a pleasure to write since they are so short, equivalent to the half day on New Year's Eve where nobody does any real work and everyone is just waiting to panggang.

The boat noodles we initially wanted to try was unexpectedly closed because the owner chao keng take mc.

So we settled for a random roadside pork noodles instead since the cartoon pig on her signboard was quite cute.

It was fine but i still prefer Bedok 85's ba chor mee.

Took a quick coffee break and inadvertently boosted our daily sugar intake by 500%.

Did you know that there are two mornings everyday in Hat Yai? That explains why we kept having 2 breakfasts on a daily basis.

For our last meal here, i wanted to try and compare another khanom jeen so we found a shop that specialises in it. It confirmed my suspicions that i was indeed a curry slut and would enjoy anything slathered in curry sauce.

The second plate however, was curry made out of fish entrails so it was kinda like a fusion between asam curry and chao chee bye, a little too funky and fishy for me.

It's always daunting to open the hotel fridge right before check out to find a surprise magnum i left for myself and forgot all about. 我对我很 sweet leh.

Said goodbye to our nice hotel, the staff and the xmms taking ig photos before heading to the airport.

Saw this coffee place all around Hat Yai and gave it a chance to impress after spotting it at the airport. 如果当初没有给机会, 这个世界就不会有周杰伦或林俊杰. Forgive my ramblings i’m just trying to add to the word count because this post is so short i ownself also paiseh.

I was having iced matcha latte before it was cool. Who’s the hipster now, bitches?

Our hearts were heavy as we boarded our flight, but our stomachs were grateful not to be abused anymore.

Hat Yai 没有很好买, but i still managed to buy some snacks home for the fam. This was probably the quickest i’ve completed writing about a trip from start to end. Funemployment is real, but bankruptcy is also very real so the next post will be for subscribers only at a modest fee of $19.99 per month. Man’s gotta eat his wanton mee somehow.
