We were supposed to get up early in the morning for our trip to Sun Moon Lake but everyone was very nua, so we got ready at around 11 and headed to Taichung 2nd market for our breakfast.
As usual we cabbed over

Took the 1pm bus to Sun Moon Lake, which was really late by the usual standards.
The bus ride was pretty nice though, trip was around an hour and a half, and cost around $10+ i think, can't really remember. Not very crowded and we had snacks to pull us through. Lots of scenery shots to follow that i will try my best to caption.

It's a really beautiful place, a lake among the mountains. The whole place looks different depending on whether it's sunny or misty
It was raining slightly when we reached but we weren't bothered much by it.

First stop at a 玄光寺 that's popular for the tea leaf eggs. And maybe a temple but we just came for the eggs

After our stop of only eating tea leaf eggs, reboarded the boat to our next stop 伊达邵
We planned to take the cable car here and visit the aboriginals museum as well but it closed at 3pm so we just had a walk around their town area.
As soon as we alighted we saw this guy strike a catch

Apparently he didn't even use bait. The hook just caught the fish on the tail and it got reeled backwards onto shore. Unluckiest fish of the year

A short trip back to the hotel for another toilet break. We have bladders like senior citizens

They saw this picture of the cute receptionist with the 食尚玩家 voice guy. Tim wanted to steal it back home for whatever reasons.

When Ck does the same pose he looks like he's stealing it. 很奇怪. We were about to set out for Yizhong Street when one of the receptionists asked us where we were from. We actually asked them about nightclubs in Taichung the previous day and they thought we were bad boys or something. Suddenly, some small talk and we got photos with them.
Finally no longer stuck with aunties, moving into the pretty girls bracket. Joan and Candice are their names, our first Taiwanese friends obtained
He helped us to take the picture so we took a picture with the male receptionist, Larry as well. Give him our picture 让他留念新加坡的帅哥哥们. Reluctantly left the hotel and our new found friends to Yi Zhong Street which was a short distance from the hotel.

It looks like a great place to eat and shop but sadly many shops were closing as it was near 11pm. So we went back to the hotel in hope of seeing the receptionists before they ended work for the last time since we were checking out the next day, turns out they already went back home. Went to Partyworld nearby to celebrate our last night in Taichung. Remember to bring a student card even if it's expired to enjoy discounts.
Huge ass room with 6 hour sessions, free snacks and private toilet, what's not to love?
As usual Ck had to sing the female parts cause we have no girls....

自high. Returned to the hotel at 4am or so, and the sun came out before we went to sleep. Fucking vacations feel so good.
