Taiwan 2014 Day 8 - Chia Te Bakery, Back to Singapore

Friday 9th May

Our return flight to Singapore was at 8pm so we had more than half a day left in Taiwan. Expectedly everyone was down at the thought of abandoning taiwan meimeis, the awesome food and weather and not coming back for at least 2 years. We started the last meaningful day of our lives at a stall called 鸭肉扁 which only sells goose and doesn't sell duck because fuck you. It was recommended by a cab driver and the place is just around our hotel.

Hearty bowl of duck goose noodle soup

一只鹅. The staff had to keep correcting us it was goose. SO WHY DID YOU NAME YOUR STALL DUCK IN THE 1ST PLACE?!?!

On a more important note, the goose was succulent and flavorful. 10/10 would overlook the misleading stall name

We returned for a final bowl of Ah Chung mee sua and hunted for Yc's grilled mua chee (glutinous rice balls) with condensed milk which he read online about

Texture's like chewing a condom. ..Not that i have chewed one before...that would be silly...

That totally looks like cum. So texture of deep fried condom with a pool of cum. Most sexually suggestive snack ever. Went down to Chia Te again to get our fresh 土产.

We're not experts on where the best souvenirs are sold but the online reviews for this place were very good so i guess it's a pretty safe bet. The waiting times to get in the shop were pretty short despite the long queues.

Presenting to you an exciting panoramic view from the queue filled with fear, anticipation and ultimately fulfillment.

We bought so much shit that we spent a long time squeezing all the pastries into our luggage and we had to cab to the airport instead.

Their cab driver took them through a more scenic route than the normal highway to the airport.

And by scenic views i include betel nut ladies. Jin wasted got on the wrong cab

As usual Ck only takes numbers from people above the age of 50 eg.Chao Ma

Nice 1 cab uncle

Our flight was a little delayed but we had our new Taiwanese zeh zeh entertaining us in LINE chat so it was a quick wait.

The emo last picture of the trip. And so it ends, our 8 days 7 nights trip. From the enthu 新加坡的哥哥们来个high five, King of Fighter/disabled massage at Danshui, helping Japanese girls open the waste bin with my legs open wide at the free for all pantry, 奶奶, Tim's decapitated one piece keychain, 7 eleven soft boiled eggs, sniping random pretty girls. eating 古早味 food that was quite humorous, Candice and Joan our 2 pretty receptionists, the half explored Yi Zhong Street, awesome Partyworld, Shilin's hot star chicken and scallops, 葱抓饼 that runs away, taking pictures with everything at Jiufen, visiting the site of Jay Chou's mv we grew up with. All the fun memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. See you in a few years, Taiwan!
