Taiwan 2014 Day 6 - Ximending

Wednesday, 7th May

It was our last day at 53 hotel and everyone were moody knowing that we would never see or hear from our 2 pretty receptionists we just met, ever again as they did not start work till 3pm. But Tim stepped in and wrote a note so cringy we laughed multiple times in the lobby while he composed.

Tim 王子's parting love note. Apparently the counter staff he passed it to searched his facebook, printed and framed this on their staff bulletin board. I guess Tim is a mini celebrity there now. Eventually it worked and they added us on Line.

But it was not the only message that we composed that day. This extremely well thought and written note by Ck looks like it was actually written by a metta child. Sibei xia suay heng they never got it as he just left it in the hotel room. Even had to google reception in chinese as we forgot how to write. There's also a weird hairy vagina on the top right corner surrounding the word give.

After an unassuming breakfast/lunch of turkey rice (which tasted and looked like out ration), bought some locally famous lemon cakes and pineapple cakes before we bid goodbye to Taichung. Initially wanted to take the cheaper bus option back to Taipei but we decided to pay more for a faster bullet train ride back instead. Back in Taipei, we found our last hotel, Muzik hotel around Xmd without much fuss.

Tim's air documents for the return trip. Quite funny

Sj still trying to take the perfect facebook picture

你很cool leh 你. The main issue with the hotel was the toilet ventilation really sucked. There was always this shit smell even though no one had shat. Luckily we had our Taiwanese febreeze to depend on. They had the super secret porn channel to make up for it though.

A little bit of rain couldn't stop our hunt for the food we missed so much

First up we had to revisit Ah Chung Mee Sua. Piping hot bowls in cold rainy weather song dahh

This shop which sells almsot everything deep fried, was right beside so we got ourselves some deep fried stuff.

Can't go wrong with deep fried and mushrooms

Can't visit Taiwan without drinking their bubble tea. Tea is loads more fragrant and cheaper than it is here.

The mild rain made Ximending a lot less crowded than it usually is

Of course we couldn't walk pass 豪大大鸡扒 without Jh and Tim trying it.

Still finding a branch that can make it as good as Shilin's

Obviously we would return to this old looking shop across the street for this...

Oh maaaan i would do nasty things to this bowl of sexiness

Good ol' winter melon soup to wash it down. After all the feasting things were pretty uneventful as we had been there before. Conclusion: There's not many reasons to return to xmd except the food and maybe the eye candies. We weren't really interested in the fashion there so we walked around aimlessly, had a massage, bought some supper and returned to the hotel.

Tasty yakisoba right in the middle of xmd, you can't miss it. There's also 葱抓饼 (scallion pancake) from the uncle who's selling illegally on the streets and has to run when the police car patrols around. Just remember to run with him when he does. We bought from him the previous time we came and it's the best 葱抓饼 we've tasted. Only downside is you can't order one with bacon, egg and cheese even if you have $$ to burn. I think we went to a club after that which was pretty uneventful as well and ended up leaving early and going back to the hotel for some 7 eleven supper and kangxi. Nothing beats good food and company with taiwan variety show, fucking cb zai nans.

End of a boring Day 6
