Bali 2019 - Day 4: Ayung River Rafting, ATV Quad Bike Adventure & Warung Eropa

After a long delay of not posting due to contracting the no feels virus, i'm back with Day 4 of our Bali trip which happened nearly 2 years ago now. Hais serve NS also serve finish already. Today is packed with activities so bust out your towels and sun tan lotion even though you are probably reading this from the comfort of your own bed.

You could have saved the money and hired me as your pre-wedding shoot photographer instead of that fit gay uncle. Look at how expertly i'm able to capture the moment.

Save you some $ on the wedding gowns and suits too.

We took breakfast at.. you guessed it, another popular cafe called Sisterfields. At this point my digestive system is just crying out for a comforting bowl of wanton mee.

Is 8am too early for a milkshake? Not if you ask my ex.

We ordered some cheesy polenta fries on the side and it had quite the unique texture but sibei filling.

And we still had our huge mains to contend with. Feasting as though we were going to paddle around the entire island of Bali on our little raft.

Planning for Bali is ezpz because most activities include hotel pickup straight to the destination.

We were dropped off at the stunning Ubud area which looks straight out of a picture perfect postcard.

Your friendly neighbourhood construction workers ready to build your new BTO.

Driving past the pretty rice fields looking like idiots on the back of a pickup truck.

Another short ride later and we were at the starting point of our river rafting activity. Extremely determined not to capsize because the water here is brown colour one.

Rafting was enjoyable but not great because we had to carry a lazy Indonesian couple who refused to paddle much. The course was also designed for beginners so the lack of life endangering bumps disappointed the thrill seekers inside us.

Happy faces oblivious to the fact that there's a 10 storey tall waterfall waiting ahead.

Would have been alot more fun with a raft full of MSE. I guarantee some of us would have drank a litre of that brown river water but oh wells.

A complimentary lunch buffet was served to reward us for our hard work during the rafting session.

But the food here is only designed to fill your stomach, tastes worse than cookhouse food and that's including the infamous bland hor fun.

But i did get to see a dog with double D titties so overall it was a decent lunch.

Shortly thereafter, we got a crash course on how to not die on an ATV.

For someone who has only driven a Daytona arcade car, this is very fun.

Obviously 我不 care about the training earlier because i started taking photos while driving the ATV with 1 hand.

Our route took us through mud paths and artificial rivers. Lotsa fun except when i'm trying to wash off the mud stains afterwards.

Wet and dirty, exactly how i like it.

Helped an ang moh couple to take this photo and it was in my gallery so i just post only.

Also helped this couple to take photo and not too familiar with them but just post only.

Some sharp turns here and there to make you feel like you're almost falling off your vehicle.

And then we went through the picturesque padi fields where the local farmers must be cursing at our kaopeh motors disturbing the peace.

Oi please look in front before you bang someone that's not Jl.

But i have to say, this is a really nice way to take in the beautiful sights.

More muddy water because they know i never bring enough detergent on this trip.

Thankfully we were able to shower before heading back to Seminyak following the free mud wrap treatment.

As the sun sets, we say goodbye to Ubud but perhaps we will stay around the area next time.

With our adrenaline levels filled, all that's left to do is a good dinner at Warung Eropa to wind off the day.

The signature here is bebek goreng, crispy fried duck with rice. Quite dry and not that nice.

Guess 哪一个 pasta slut ordered carbonara again after last night's Italian dinner?

All around Bali you'll find these offerings scattered around like mines in the middle of the pavement. Clearly someone wants to make sure that you offend their gods by stepping on them.

No matter if you are NTUC or Sheng Shiong, if you are a supermarket we will respect die you.

Could have played some minigolf but after all those physical activities in the day, we just wanted to head home and k.o.. after yet another massage of course hehe. God how i crave for the touch of a Thai auntie on my skin during a 1.5 hour RM 90 massage in JB. No happy ending i also very happy.

- End of Day 4 -
