Korea 2019 - Day 10: Back to Singapore 다시 싱가포르로

After living the life of a professional winter sportsman for a couple of days, the dreaded day had come for us to head home and resume our mundane cb zai nan lives in Singapore.

Pyeongchang, i will never forget you, specifically because my shoulder joint still feels dislodged from falling there.

Before checking out of the hotel, everyone was busy channeling their inner enigma to black hole their shopping loots into their luggage.

Even the cabbie had trouble fitting our baggage into his trunk and ended up strapping them onto the front passenger seat. I'm pretty sure i have seen this scene somewhere before in Final Destination.

Instead of taking the bus, we would be returning to Seoul via the high speed rail which takes approximately 1.5 hours.

As expected from this ulu ass county, the train station was desolate and devoid of any shops. Waliew you could have at least built a mama shop here so wouldn't have to travel hungry.

I captured Kl deep in thought during the train journey, who must be missing his family + Yc after 10 long days away. Such a good family man.

Back in Seoul and we have time for lunch before heading off to the airport while Ck continues to figure out if his kimchi is really chao sng or not.

You all know me as the Prince of Vietnam but i myself didn't realise that i was also Emperor of Korea till i stepped into this restaurant. Ordered 1 beef kalbi and look at all the banchan that came with it.

There was even special table side service by a JJ Lin lookalike. Is it Hebe reject you until 你想不开 come here cut meat?

But the beef ribs still easily outshone the 10 other dishes. They were so tender, it reminded me of my mother breastfeeding me a couple of years ago.

Also ordered a seafood pancake for good measure. So generous on the prawns and octopus, unlike the ones in SG which resembles more like a plain prata.

Packed up our winter jackets ahead of checking in our flight so we wouldn't melt on the plane. Already dreading the sauna-like weather awaiting for us back home.

We managed to get our first proper look at Incheon Intl Airport since we were in a rush to meet our bodyguard/driver when we flew in.

One last sweet treat to conclude a sweet trip. With covid-19 and everyone beginning to settle down, hopefully it's not too long before we can go on another trip together.

There you have it. 10 days of Korea blogged in only 1 and a half years after the trip. For such an amazing feat, i will proceed to give myself a pat on the back. Korea is pretty decent, but probably not the most exciting place to visit for heterosexual males. Food is obviously not on Japan levels but most of our meals were good and at times great. Weather was bitterly cold and we even got to see some snowfall. Another plus is the throngs of chio bus on the streets, mainly because of plastic surgery. Would i be back? Probably in another 5 years. Thanks to myself for planning this trip, and myself for guiding us around, and myself for ensuring everyone returned alive. Special thanks to Hyeri for taking time off reading your books to meet us and showing us around. No, i'm still not going to date you but i hope you enjoy the expiring pineapple tarts that we couldn't finish from CNY. And on that note, it's time to close this chapter as there are more adventures waiting to be written. Stay safe from coronavirus fam.
