Bangkok Trip 2017 - Day 4: Fast Food Breakfast, Lazy Bums and Chinatown

Spent a few hours getting this new template up and i'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Now i no longer have to wait until my balls sag for my blog to load on my phone. The chatbox is also back so anyone can pretend to be someone else to talk shit and 挑拨离间. Good times. Anyway, we slacked and slept most of day 4 away so this will be a really short and uneventful post. But damn, was this the most lepak day of a vacation i've ever had.

I vaguely remember someone wanting to try A & W's waffles and the next thing we knew, breakfast escalated into an all out junk food fest, with us hunting down every fast food restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. We found Mcdonald's, Burger King and A & W but KFC was missing so we replaced it with some fried chicken from the street vendors. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

Tadah~ Disregarding the fact that this meal probably took away a few years of our lifespan, the sight of a table full of fast food for breakfast is every kid's dream.

Try as we might, we could not defeat the mighty monster that is Ally, as he consumed a double sausage mcmuffin, 2 pancake burgers, a fried chicken drumstick, an ice cream sundae waffle and washed everything down with a root beer float. Wtf? How many parasites are there living inside your body? And all these just for breakfast...

Cheesy just like me

Having proved he had the biggest dick, we proceeded to our bed and let him penetrate our anuses as we entered a food coma for the rest of the afternoon.

Oh wait, we woke up around tea time to eat our cakes that we bought on the first day and had forgotten all about. Then we went back to sleep again lol

We finally managed to leave the comfort of our 3 man bed to hunt for a massage that wouldn't require us to wear a half transparent thong.

The Grand Diamond hotel where we spent 3/4 of our trip at. 五颗星星 would go back and sleep again.

A short walk across the street was an alley full of massage parlors that looks less sleazy and targeted at tourists so we happily picked one with the cheapest rates because we kiasu.

FINALLY the perfect souvenir for my retarded friends. After the massage, we returned to the hotel for a deserved nap.

I'm just kidding, we went to Chinatown all ready for an epic street food feast... just to find out that they don't operate on Mondays. Fantastic.

Well at least some food shops were open, so it wasn't a total wash. This place was selling braised pork legs, kway chup, roasted pork, basically all things pork related so i'm guessing they are not getting a halal certification anytime soon. With potentially more food places to visit at the back of our minds, we ordered with restraint and self control.

Their kway chup was very different from Singapore's version, mostly due to the peppery broth making it taste more akin to bak kut teh.

More of the same peppery soup, just with more funky parts of a pig.

Their roasted pork was awesome though. The skin had a really satisfying kerrrunch but i have no idea what that pile of green stuff is doing taking up half of the plate.

That meal was good, but not satisfying enough. So we decided to have some sharks' fin soup, a must have in Yaowarat along with bird's nest.

Now now, before you get on your high horse and tell us off for supporting animal cruelty to sharks, hear me out. It was delicious. Thank you for listening.

Hot, bubbling goodness followed by a hot boy boy ;)

Some crispy and fragrant hei zou to accompany our thick, gooey gravy from becoming too jelat. Unfortunately this was as far as our food hunt got as there was literally nothing else to eat. We returned to the first stall to dabao some braised pork legs to ensure supper would not be a disappointing affair.

And things were certainly helped by a random pizza truck appearing in front of Platinum Mall. The pizza took a little time because it was made to order but we got no issues with waiting because that's 15 mins of not eating so we could eat more later on.

We discovered a mini supermarket right below our hotel only on the last night. They sold some wonderful looking cooked food and lots of snacks that i spam bought back to SG.

Thanks to this mini haven our supper looked much more sumptuous and respectable. The last supper should be done properly to make our families proud.

Fwah this was actually really good, but then again melty pork fat and tender meat can hardly go wrong.

Roasted pork that we dabaoed from the same place was still crunchy and delish.

The pizza crust was so thin that it was more like a biscuit, but the toppings and cheese was generous enough. Not bad.

Fatty pork neck that we purchased from the supermarket. Another item that tasted better than expected.

As usual finishing up every meal with a toothbrush made of magnum and toothpaste made of milk tea. Kai xin.

Showing off our enlarged mouths from the daytime eating activities and the..night..activities..

Kelly's shoddy shopping list with my comments about their practicality. Seriously, snake powder? Anyway ez short post ez life. Onto the next.
