Thank god this is the last post. I was beginning to feel tumours developing in my brain from trying to remember shit we did 4 months ago. But first, an update on the perfectly folded shirt in the washing machine.
Hahaha that is fking retarded. Managed to get our lazy asses out of bed in the morning to finally check out the famous Fu Hang Dou Jiang, renowned for its crazy queues.
And true to word, the line was indeed pretty fucking long. At least it gave us plenty of time to learn the must try suggestions from online reviews.
This prominent store selling traditional Taiwanese breakfast is located at level 2 of Huashan Market. Just walking from the entrance of the stairs to the end of the queue felt like a route march. Knn the food here eat already is it will 长身不老?
Finally turning the corner after half an hour.. Heng can beo handsome Japanese boyboy wearing mask behind us hazukashi neh?

There are perks to being in line though. Fu Ji pastry shop, situated next to Fu Hang, offers free samples of their products to entice people in the queue to buy from them after having their breakfast.
几多人一下. It is more than likely that you'll have to share tables here, and we prayed to god some chiobu would join ours.
An open kitchen displaying the chefs working on their craft.
We didn't have much time to admire them though, as the queue was moving fast and we had to quickly decide on our order to avoid getting scolded by the auntie at the cashier. Stressssss.
Tadah! The reward for waking up early and patiently waiting for about an hour. The menu looks confusing but basically there's just 3 types of dough: thick, thin or crepe. On top of that, you can decide on adding in eggs or doughsticks.
The thick bread with doughsticks and egg. Personally not a fan of too much starch, im more of a fillings (feelings) guy. Ikr im hilarious.
The thin foreskin twin brother was pretty much similar. All that dough overpowered any taste the omelette had to offer.
No doughsticks is the way to go. Finally could appreciate both the crispy bread and the fragrant spring onion omelette within.
My favourite is the crepe with egg. Combination of the chewy prata and soft savoury onion egg won my heart. If only i could just add some gooey cheese and it would have been perfect.
To be honest there wasn't anything special about the soymilk here. They could have gone to ntuc, buy 1 carton and pour in a bowl for me and i wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Salty soymilk we meet again.. just tastes like some steamed egg soup. Nothing really outstanding.
Stopped by the pastry shop and bought some pineapple tarts since they were so generous with their samples, then returned to our hotel to pack up our stuff. We took much needed nap courtesy of our awesome airbnb hosts as they were kind enough to let us stay for a few additional hours after the check out time.
My collection of empty mineral bottles after 5 days tells you how much i didn't want to get a sore throat during the trip.
Spending our final hours in the awesome apartment by playing pointless hipster games, but finally it's time to depart.
Fat girl practicing her singing, couples taking photos with sakura, old woman almost spitting on my shoe, the playground that nobody seemed to hang out at suddenly came to life as we departed. Is it all went into hiding when we moved in?
We had enough time for a last minute wander. Hmm something that would ease the pain of waiting another 2 years to return to Taiwan again... There was only 1 place on our minds.
But first we had to store our luggage. The lockers around the underground train station were not big enough to keep our dua ki luggage, so we had to find the baggage service center which was somewhere around the area.
Extremely tourist friendly, we found the place in no time at all! Just almost an hour of walking and lots of circling around.
As you can see, the baggage center is clearly visible and stands out from the other buildings. Props to the tourism board for being so considerate and allowing us to explore every corner of Taipei main station.
Back at Jin Feng lu rou fan because this would be the one thing we crave for the most back home. I fucking miss you right now and i think of you every day and night );
Lu rou fan topped with braised pork belly.. I get aroused just looking at this picture.
Unfortunately they only had 2 slices of pork belly left when we wanted to order 20. Tough luck.
Tofu and braised egg, the best companions to any pork rice.
Also tried the braised pork bee hoon version but it wasn't as good as the rice counterpart.
We split up after that, some of them went to dabao the awesome muah chee back to SG (it was that good), while i did some last minute souvenir shopping for the peeps back home.
Back at the underground mall to get something special.. Sadly it broke quickly like how she broke my heart ; ;
Finding an appropriate place to do some 'smuggling'.
A little gift to my brothers for always bringing home goodies. Can't believe i bought a lock & lock container for almost $20 to store 2 boxes of 凉面. And yes it was extremely xia suay with passerbys trying to figure out wtf i was doing.
Gathered back at the ulu luggage center to grab our belongings when everyone was done.
The new mrt from Taipei to Taoyuan airport had barely just opened a month before we arrived, and we were able to experience the new mode of transport first hand.
Clean and spacious with clear directions, it's an extremely convenient way to get from the airport to the city and vice versa.
We took the express train and the journey took only about 40 mins, more than enough time for flight check in and dinner at the airport.
Our last look at the Taiwanese skyline is of the gorgeous sunset bidding us goodbye..
Sad faces at the prospect of the end of our vacation. All except for Reagan, he was hyped to be going back to work with his pinoy colleagues.
There wasn't much of a choice for dinner, and after that heavenly last meal, we were prepared for our taste buds to be raped by below average airport food.
Pasta and baked rice out ration style, chosen purely because they looked like the least likely to fail.
But the pesto noodle failed on us anyway.
Thankfully our baked rice is still fit for human consumption.
Loots from Taiwan, mostly snacks to appease the pigs at work.
And this fucking bag of chips exploded in my bag on the flight back. Chua sai suddenly got POP sound from my side lucky nobody thought i was a terrorist and drag me off the plane like that United Airlines guy.
. . .
