Sat was a good day. Felt like i had a life. Morning went skl tap card. Starved whole day cos bro told me we were going to jap buffet so can go there spam. If u are a loyal dog reader then u may know about Zen i went to sometime earlier. Apparently we went to it's sister restaurant called En. And apparently, it's near my school in bukit timah =D. Looks the same, darkish environment, relaxing ambience, but the seats sit long butt cheeks will rot.
When i saw the raw egg to dip the beef i was oh noes. Never ate raw egg before and like a disgusting, sibei turn off.
Raw beef to eat just like this. Felt weird about it but tastes very good actually. Chewy and appetizing.
Sukiyaki. Like steamboat but instead of soup it's a miso sauce. The staff spam veges inside.
Steps to eat beef dipped in raw egg
1- cook the beef in the sauce for ard 30 secs. Not too cooked so it remains it's tenderness
2-Dip it in raw egg
3- Take a deep breath and consume. You either say oishi or you shit bricks. I actually liked it. There's hardly any raw egg smell and it makes the meat sweeter.
Soft shell krab handroll. Sorry for low quality pics my hp camera no flash and it's dark
SASHIMI FTW. The raw sweet prawns were good too. But sashimi still pwns
jing zhen gu(enoki mushroom-i actually googled it's english name for those who dun understand) wrapped with bacon. Tastes weird.
Shit with crispy thing. This was the only inedible item on the menu imo.
Teriyaki chicken. Nothing spectacular.
Sinful pork belly. Fking melt in your mouth. Eat liao instant tio high cholesterol
Tempura porn. Damn nice
Got alot stuff didn't take pics, some take liao kua lj. Food was okay, some nice one bad some weird. Japanese can really eat anything raw. But eating jap food really makes you more eh kan; I would never have tried raw egg, or raw beef, or raw prawns. $50++ per pax. Service was fast and good compared to the one at Zen. Quite a few chio waitresses but a few filipinos spoiler.
Celebrating sj bday on sat. Meeting new dawgs. Hope it's gonna be fun
