And so we set off. Met ck at my house downstairs at around 6pm. Cycled to bedok to meet reagan and jh. As usual, jh was late. Met him at 7+, then cycled over to east coast park together. We went to through the wrong underpass and needed to cycle to lagoon from area D. Met sj and qh there.
Energy level: 83% Damage to Lan pa: 16%
Had a short rest at lagoon while jh, sj and qh went to look for bike shops. Luckily still got 1 open, Rented bikes for ming, kl, yc, kat and shaun. Parked bikes and had dinner. Met kl, yc and ming.
Find seat sibei long. Replenished energy.
Energy level: 87% Damage to Lan pa: 16%
Planned to rest and conserve energy for the night. Ended up riding from lagoon to area B, and back again to near lagoon, and then back to Mcdonald there to countdown. Wanted to buy water but 7 eleven was so crowded that you had to queue up to get into the store. Stood by our bicycles and 'countdowned'. All we heard was "AH, AH, AH, AH, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" and then everybody went beserk, spraying foam and playing with sparkles while our whole group stood there and beo them. After that rode back to lagoon to meet shaun and kat. On the way shouted HAPPY NEW YEAR to everybody in sight. Quite fun to see strangers, giao tors and bangalas so friendly to one another. But then again it's only for 1 day.

They reached at around 1am+?... Then kat go change clothes and make up until 2am. Finally set off on our long journey. By then we had already given up on vivo city. Rode back all the way to area B to go kallang. 1st pit stop at gas station, bought drinks, set off towards suntec city.
Energy level: 47% Damage to Lan pa: 54%
Cycled through stadium boulevard, passed kallang leisure park and cut through indoor stadium. Reached Singapore river but Suntec was on opposite side. Tried to find a way there by circulating the river but reached a highway which was too dangerous. The alternative route was nicoll highway but that was on the other end of the river, gave up and went back indoor stadium there to slack.

Specs dropped into toilet bowl while taking toilet paper.
Morale: Super low
Cycled to the Mcdonald near kallang for supper. Was too tired from all that cycling and the flu medicine. Felt sleepy all the way through their meal, played with flashlight to avoid falling asleep. After that kl do stunt and braked too hard while standing. Flipped over. Bike partially spoilt but person never injured. Wasted. Biked back to East Coast Park bike shop to return bike. Qh, sj, kat, ming left first, followed by gan, jh, ck and me. The others waited for bike shop to open and return bike.

Had to cycle from ecp back to Tampines. Knn. Reached gan house there first, before jh parted with us, then through red swastika and bedok reservoir, finally reached my house. Bade farewell to ck, parked bike, time was 8am. 14 hours of riding. Bathed, brushed teeth, ko-ed on bed.

Overview : To be honest, it was quite a fun night even though it was tiring. Did something which i never did before on New Year's day. Most probably never going to do something like this again but I enjoyed myself(at the expense of my lan pa and butt cheeks). Not really excited about 2009, just another year of studies to chiong, but nonetheless it represents a new start. And with the current recession, hope everything will go smoothly. And really, if sjj can do it, it doesn't necessarily mean we can.
