BKK!

Okay I'm now a busy man. Short and sweet post instead of lots of jiaoweis. Went to Bangkok, Thailand with family from 9th July to 12th July. Way too short to enjoy the city, where metered cabs are cheaper than mrt and shark fins + bird nests selling at a few dollars. Arrived there at around evening (f.y.i. the time difference is 1 hour slower there) and checked in at hotel, which was somewhere in chinatown. Then went to meet Bro's friend's Thai friend at a riverside restoran.

Authentic Thai food by the river. Like nakhon, but nicer, sourer, spicier.

Bro's friend belated birthday celebration. Off to a club after dinner, but turns out I'm underaged (age limit = 20) D: WTF? Went to a not so popular club instead where they don't check ids.

using the football pitch as a parking lot

and then there were the other clubbers......

The 2 silhouettes were the staff. Actually it was because they just opened and we were the first customers. As time passed more people came in. The 2 for 1 black labels were really really cheap too. So far my 3 experiences with clubbing really sucked. 我没有club的天份
Went to Jatuchak weekend market or JJ market next day. Totally no pics cause never take, you lan lan. Okay picture Bugis street, but 7 to 8 times bigger and sells every shit from clothes to food to pottery to pets to paintings to earpieces. Tried taking the mrt back to hotel, turns out cabbing was cheaper.

Thai version of priority seat

Chinatown. Big bro and me got hungry around midnight, so we went on a street food excursion

Godlike hae zou, endorsed by my bro. Could have printed out this pic and pasted onto her stall, like some celebrity.

One of the many orh luas we had there

midnight still got alot people

and some birds nest to wash it down
Went to platinum fashion mall, Siam paragon, MBK the next day. A girl's shopping paradise. Guys never go there with your girlfriend.

Jersey shop

Looks like a nice but tastes like a shit. Some fancy chinese restoran for dinner.

Oyster more than the egg....

Walked Kao san(?) night market after that. Nice and happening place

Then must poh out

Really gianed to try the fried bugs there, and so i did. Tastes like some fried thing with thorny legs and some seasoning powder. But tastes ok to me.

I still have no idea what this is. Some vegetarian taco?

Grilled chicken parts

Their padthai (spicy fried noodles) hen nice

Returned to hotel afterwards. Went for Thai massage, the hands were good but I don't really want to talk much about it. Nua-ed in hotel room while watching movie on bro's laptop

fried squid, chicken wing, chicken cutlet and more orh luas. Went back to Singapore early next morning.

Really great city, 4 days really isn't enough. The cheap cabs and clothes, great food, girls talking in Thai and then their gentle "ka" WA BTH. Only downside is being stuck in the traffic jams though. Hopefully will be back sometime at the end of the year.
